When is the best time to run zone option? I see Navy running it alot recently so I was wondering when they make the determination to call it.

for us it is run to either keep the qb or pitch man in the game. We've run it numerous ways. Or add a blocker (fb) to the perimeter to match numbers. or handle a hard to read hand off key. (Hard to read easy to block!) or handle inside stunts and still run the option and not the rocket (It was the answer to this long before the rocket)

Is the reach block on the de by the tackle a difficult one? What are the tackles steps?

If the De is tight in a 43 and you want to pitch off of the OLB cause they are squeezing and scraping how do you teach the tackles steps.

So the guard attempts to overtake the tackles block? What happens if the MLB attempts to run through the B gap?
