Coach do you ever block the fs with either an extra blocker or do you ever block 2 and pitch off 3....what would be the pros and cons to this?

yes we block #2 and pitch off number 3 in our double options. that will be in a later article (as will use of formations and motioning adjustments which allow us to block the free with and extra blocker. so yes to both - coming in a llater article

yes. vs a 7 man front that is our load scheme (44-46) vs an eight man front we will at times crack the olb and option the free in the alley. we like this with a speed qb vs a defense that is playing the olb on qb. the corner is taught to replace and go to pitch (contain player now) so you have two people on pitch and (fs and c) and nobody on qb. key is to get around the load
i will talk about both of these (load vs a seven man front and crack vs an eight) in detail later in the blog
