We've run into issues with a team feathering with their DEs and playing both the dive and keep portions of triple. Some things we consider doing is widening our splits, but we than are going to gave to base their 3 tech. (Basically a 5-3 defense with nose and two 3s). Another thing would be to run Veer duck and have BB kick out DE. Any other thoughts as to what could be an effective way to deal with this. Thank you for any response.

Block the 5 technique with either Tackle and HB, FB (if you can cut in your state.) or Guard. You can also pitch off him in a reduced front. (double option) Your Fullback should be able to run by a sitter if you get movemen on the three technique. That might be your problem. If it is go too midline triple and read him. To keep the fullback alive run zone dive. or we run midline and single the nose or Double the nose. (Note - you can only run singling him if lber is running over top.)
Finally, if you are a paul johnson guy run wide trap off counter option. You need to move three some though.
One year we were pretty good up front and when we saw this we actually ran power O with Backside HB getting back. (I bone theory hard to read easy to block)
One other idea is to give a three man front. (Tac over or TE) End has to widen making read more deliberate and keeping T consistent. If De stays in 5 run rocket and down (OV if you have it) NOTE: You can widen your third man as much as you can to make him commit.
