In what situations, or against what looks do yall run outside veer as opposed to inside veer? We would run outside pretty much if we were running it to a 3 tech we knew our PSG couldn't handle so we would double the 3 tech with PST to PSLB if possible and bump FB's track to oustide leg of guard rather than inside leg. And are the reads the same? For us Ins. Veer & Out. Veer are the same #1= 1st defender inside shade tackle out. #2 = next man outside of #1 (we dont read stack).

We had very good success with OV vs. 50/3-4 teams when the DT's (dive read) played a 4I and or crashed hard. It puts the olb (DE) in a bind because he is used to being the pitch key all week in practice. It is a great play for a hard crashing dive read.

I like OSV to any odd front, esp. the 3-4/50. We get in Heavy and tighten 3 man surface side down to one foot splits. Aiming point is "brown spot" on the IT, but the steps and mesh are the same as ISV for QB and B back.
