Gentlemen,
I feel fairly confident in my if / then play-calling progression. For example, if the secondary makes the tackle for less than a 4 yard gain, call play action pass, or if the backside LB'er makes the tackle, run counter option.
I'm less confident on my blocking adjustments, however, which may increase the effectiveness and ability to run triple. Do any of you have a similar flow chart in for blocking schemes that you may use? For example, I've heard terms like "Seal", "Skim", "Loop". Which defensive actions trigger each of these offensive adjustments?

I have never been a pure if / then person. nothing in life is that simple or that black and white. If it were that easy everybody would be running it. You need answers to all problems built into your scheme, however some conflicts create multiple problems. i.e. backside lber flows but you can't log 5 tech. additionally, football is played by humans with various skill sets. Sometimes your answer by if and then run you into something your player can't do (mismatched) or a player you would like to stay away from. Additionally, you may have certain weaknesses in your team. (i once had a qb who for the life of me was awlful funning the counter option - no matter how much and how detailed we worked on it.
as for line adjustments those come from film study. they are basically use to a. take advantage of a mismatch or poor alignment. example: slip singling a tight shade or poor nose when you would have chipped off b. make a particular sound defensive scheme unsound example: when we face a hard squeeze and scrape team that plays a 5 and not a 4. we will start to veer then turn back on the 5 letting the inside lber scrape over the top and giving the ball to the fullback c: adjust for a unique blocking scheme d. compensates for a great player. example once we played the best dt i've ever played against. we would call duece and double him rather then chip the tackle off. we let the fullback handle the linebacker with a soft shoulder cut
so i guess the answer to you question is no there is no if then list.
