Coaches 1. What are the best drills for teaching the pitch phase of the triple and making sure that a WB maintains pitch relationship? Thanks Coach Wright

This is great question and one that I would like to hear some input on.

we run a pitch drill every day in practice. We use line split. All Hbs on left side. Rapid fire. We put cone two yards upfield and another 6 yards wider and 2 yards behind. The first day we pitch off cone. The second day we add QB cone two yards more upfield and two yards wider. we at first pitch off of that. then we tell QB he can pitch off of either cone. The third day we add a third. We practice it first then give qb option of pitching off any of three. The 4th day we add pitching off mesh (back to back) By the 6th day we take cones away and tell QB he can pitch anyplace (by this time he knows how to run the option alley")
We then start running it with no mo. (Midline steps for QB)
We have the Fb's with RB coach working on blocking tech for individual plays.
We really try to have two of these going at once back to back with players rotating in circle. You'd be amazed at reps. QB go on own.
Pre season we start at 10 min then 7 1/2. in season we get enough reps at 5 min. (have drill set up ahead of time
